Rishab Shetty won the Best Director award for Kantara at the 17th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026. Rekha was honoured with the Excellence in Cinema award, while Rani Mukerji received a special recognition for completing 30 years in the industry. The festival celebrated diversity and inclusion in storytelling, recognising voices and stories from different communities and experiences.
